Producer Mustafa Uslu faces foreclosure: 'I am leaving the country with my family'

Mustafa Uslu, who announced that he would make a film about the life of Zeki Müren, did not receive approval from the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) and the Mehmetçik Foundation, to whom the late artist bequeathed his estate.

Mustafa Uslu, whose film 'Garip Bülbül Neşet Ertaş', which tells the life story of Neşet Ertaş, was blocked from release by a court order, stated that he is going through difficult days due to financial problems.

Mustafa Uslu (49), the producer of highly-watched films such as 'Müslüm', 'Cep Herkülü: Naim Süleymanoğlu' and 'Ayla', made striking statements to '2. Sayfa'.

'I AM FACING FORECLOSURE'

Uslu said, "Making films in Turkey is a difficult job. We had spent 4.5 million dollars (approximately 135 million TL) on the Neşet Ertaş film. The heirs of the late Neşet Ertaş filed a lawsuit on the grounds that personal rights were violated. Unfortunately, the court hearing the case prevented our film from being released without even watching it or obtaining an expert report. For this reason, I could not pay the loan debts we took from the bank for the film, and I am facing foreclosure."

'WE WILL LIVE IN GERMANY'

The famous producer, who is married to actress Sinem Öztürk, used the expressions, "I have decided to leave the country I love so much with my family. We are leaving sad and heartbroken. We will live in Germany. We will try to realize our future dreams there..."
