Rapper Emirhan Çakal, who was attacked after performing at a festival in Tekirdağ, announced that he is in good health.

Emirhan Çakal, who took the stage at the Sunflower Festival held in the Hayrabolu district of Tekirdağ, was shot in the leg with an air rifle while being lowered by a crane after the concert. Çakal, who was taken to the hospital after the incident, addressed his fans via social media.

Çakal said, "My dear fans, thank you to everyone who was concerned. I am in good health and can walk. I am sorry to have occupied your agenda with such an incident." Stating that he wants to be remembered for his stage performances, the artist added, "I want to be in the news for my work and projects, not for nonsense stories."

The full statement is as follows:

"My dear fans, greetings to everyone. First of all, thank you to everyone who was concerned, called, and asked. I am fine, I can walk, and I am in good health. I am sorry to have occupied your agenda with such an incident," he stated. Noting that he is someone dedicated to his stage shows, Çakal said, "My only wish is to be in the news for the work I do, the dreams I build, and the projects I achieve. Not for the car I drive, the clothes I wear, or nonsense news."

Following the incident, the attacker was arrested, and the air rifle used in the attack along with 67 pellets were seized during a search of his home. Çakal stated that he wants to continue his musical journey, which he began in Turkey, on a global scale and hopes to be remembered well at future concerts.
