Famous American actor Ron Harper, who pursued his dreams instead of studying law at Harvard, has passed away.

Famous American actor Ron Harper, who starred in many productions including the Planet of the Apes series and Pearl Harbor, has passed away at the age of 91.

The famous Hollywood actor, who played astronaut Alan Virdon in the Planet of the Apes series broadcast on TV screens in the 1970s, died of natural causes at his home in California.

The sad news was announced by his daughter, Nicole.

WHO IS RON HARPER?

Harper, who also appeared in many TV productions such as Land of the Lost, The Tall Man, and Laramie, starred alongside Ben Affleck and Kate Beckinsale in the 2001 film Pearl Harbor.

Other notable productions of his include the 1997 film Below Utopia and The Odd Double II and Freedom Strike, which were released in 1998.

The actor, whom we also watched in various soap operas including Where the Heart Is and Love of Life, chose to pursue his dream of acting despite receiving a scholarship offer to study law at Harvard after graduating from Princeton.

Born in Pittsburgh, the actor began his theater career in 1955 after moving to Hollywood.
