The witnesses included Georgina Rodriguez's sister, Ivana, Ronaldo's longtime friend Miguel Paixao, as well as Jose Rodriguez Sangil and his wife, Monica Goncalez Martinez. Portuguese media reported that Jose Rodriguez Sangil is a Spanish jeweler.
AGREEMENT SIGNED ONE DAY PRIOR
It was reported that the couple signed a separation of property agreement at a notary in Lisbon on August 10, prior to the wedding. This agreement stipulates that assets acquired by the parties before the marriage are to be kept separate.
Ronaldo's representatives confirmed that the couple married in Cascais, describing the ceremony as "extremely intimate and private." Previously, there had been speculation that the couple would marry at the Funchal Cathedral on the island of Madeira.
According to a copy of the marriage certificate published by the Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias, the wedding was performed at Ronaldo's mansion in the Quinta da Marinha area. The document lists Maria Manuel Ferreira de Campos Folhadela de Oliveira as the marriage registrar.
The marriage record includes the details of 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo and 32-year-old Georgina Luisa Rodriguez Hernandez. Georgina Rodriguez's place of birth is recorded as Buenos Aires, and it was noted that both individuals will retain their pre-marriage surnames.
The marriage registration was reportedly entered into the Porto Civil Registry books as the 1,493rd registration of this year. It was stated that the couple returned to Saudi Arabia ahead of the new season following the wedding and official procedures.
