81-year-old Filiz Akın, who has previously undergone cancer treatment twice, was also hospitalized last November and discharged after a while. The veteran actress, whose health problems continue, has been taken under treatment again at a hospital in Bodrum.

Filiz Akın, who left her mark on a period of Turkish cinema, was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal (nasal) cancer in 2002. Challenging the disease, which was revealed to be in the second stage, the actress managed to defeat the cancer as a result of the treatments.
Stating, "I received a very aggressive treatment," Akın had to undergo consecutive operations in 2022 and 2023 due to cancerous tissue on the upper part of her left ear and problems she experienced with her vocal cords.
