Harun Akaröz, the son of Safiye Soyman who had been battling MS (Multiple Sclerosis) for 24 years, fell ill during the night and was taken to the hospital.

The 47-year-old Akaröz passed away at the hospital where he had been taken due to complaints related to respiratory failure.

Soyman, who had been spending the summer months in the village of Yeşilbaşköy for about 3 years because it was good for Akaröz's condition, set out from Bodrum, where she received the news of his passing, to travel to Burdur.

It was reported that the death of Soyman's son saddened both the artist's fans and the local residents of the district.

"HOW WILL I ENDURE THIS PAIN"

According to the report by Müge Dağıstanlı, a devastated Safiye Soyman said, "How will I endure this pain? My God, my dear child is gone. He died in his sleep. I am going to collect my son's body. I will lay my child to rest in Bodrum."

"I CALL 30 TIMES A DAY"

Safiye Soyman had previously described her son's life in a program she attended, saying, "My assistant Bekir took my son to Burdur. Harun showed some movement there. I immediately had a house built so that 'my son could be comfortable'; Bodrum is hot in the summer, and the air in Burdur was better for him. For 24 years, I have only had my work and my son. We are always together; when I am working, I call 30 times a day."

"MY SON'S FUTURE IS GUARANTEED"

Explaining that her son Harun's future was also guaranteed, Soyman had said, "In my recent albums, I always sing songs that Harun likes. I ask my fellow artists for permission, and thank God they gave them to me for free. Music is like medicine for Harun. I never thought about 'what if something happens to me'; I always prayed to 'be by my child's side.' Everything for him is ready. His future is guaranteed. He is not alone in either a material or spiritual sense; he has his sibling, he has his brother Faik."

On the other hand, Safiye Soyman, who occasionally shared photos with her son, had shared a photo from their days in America with her son Harun years ago with the note, "We had gone to a concert with my son Harun before he got sick. We had taken a souvenir photo in Dallas, Texas, America."
