Famous comedian Gökbakar reacted to the 38 percent natural gas price hike for residential use, which took effect as of August 1.
Referring to the Black Sea gas, which the government had announced as "Turkey's largest natural gas reserve," Gökbakar's message shared on X is as follows:
There's been a 38% hike in natural gas... Turn on the boooilers, crank 'em uuuup. Gaaaaas is gonna gush from the Black Sea. Natural gas is gonna be freeeeee! Tuuuurn on the raaaadiators...

The Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ) had announced that, as of August, the wholesale price of natural gas used in residences was increased by 38 percent, and the sales price of natural gas used by free consumers with an annual consumption of 300 thousand cubic meters or less, excluding electricity generation, was increased by 33.1 percent.
