The growing wave of harassment disclosures on social media has prompted many public figures to revisit incidents from their past. Actress and singer Selen Görgüzel is among them.

In a previous statement, Görgüzel had alleged that she was physically harassed in 2007 on the set of the TRT series "Zoraki Başkan" by the show's director Nihat Özcan and her co-star Ferdi Akarnur. The well-known actress reiterated those allegations on social media, sharing her account of the ordeal with her followers.

In her post, Görgüzel wrote:

"In 2007, on the set of TRT's 'Zoraki Başkan,' I experienced the most severe harassment of my life. I lost work, I was left without money, my career was blocked. No one stood by me during that period — I was silenced, and when I tried to make my voice heard, I was accused of seeking publicity. If people had listened to me back then, perhaps everything would be very different today. I can see now that performative, insincere attitudes never ring true. I have left the reckoning for the pain I suffered and the injustices I endured to God."
