Kazım Koyuncu, the unforgettable name of Black Sea music, continues to be remembered for his music and philosophy of life, even 20 years after he passed away at the age of 33. On this special anniversary, his close friend Şevval Sam shared an emotional tribute to commemorate Koyuncu.
EMOTIONAL SPEECH AND LAZ SONG
In a speech at a concert held in memory of Koyuncu, Şevval Sam expressed her feelings by saying, "Of course, if it weren't for him, my dear friend, that beautiful soul... I would neither have been able to appreciate the beauty of these folk songs nor would I have been able to sing them with such sincerity..." Following this, Sam performed the song "Dido" in Laz, which received great acclaim on social media.
'YOU REMAINED AT THAT AGE'
In her post, Sam also recalled the lines she wrote on the 10th anniversary of Kazım Koyuncu's passing: "Ah! My dear Kazım… You just left... You didn't turn your back, you didn't complain either. Even 10 long years have passed. You remained at that age. Every year, I will grow one year further away from you."

Sam concluded her words by saying, "20 years without Kazım… Has anything changed now? No. Until the day we come together again and sing songs, I will save what I have to tell for you..." This emotional commemoration once again showed how powerfully Koyuncu's music and legacy still live on.
