Şeyma Subaşı caught: She will pay 550 thousand liras

Social media influencer Şeyma Subaşı was caught engaging in undisclosed advertising on her Instagram account. The Ministry of Trade has fined Subaşı 550 thousand liras.

Şeyma Subaşı has joined the wave of those fined for undisclosed advertising on social media.

Most recently, Cem Özkök, who became famous for his cleaning videos, was also fined over 500 thousand liras and had opted to appeal the decision.

According to the report published in Sabah Newspaper with the byline of Bülent Cankurt, social media influencer Şeyma Subaşı was identified by the Ministry of Trade for engaging in undisclosed advertising on her Instagram account and was fined 550 thousand liras.

Subaşı had advertised many brands, ranging from textiles to jewelry, on different dates but had failed to indicate that these posts were "advertisements."
