Dilan Polat, who frequently makes headlines with her luxurious lifestyle, was widely talked about after drinking coffee with gold dust from a gold-plated cup during a television program she attended.

Polat had stated, "This coffee actually doesn't do anything. I drink it for the people I find annoying. I do it just to bother some people. I drank this coffee for the first time when I went to Nusr-Et. Later, they gave me gold dust leaves. I put them in my morning coffee and shared it. It became a trending topic on social media. I bought more as it ran out. If they hadn't done this, I wouldn't have drunk it because it doesn't have any taste anyway. I don't know why I annoy people I don't know, sometimes I don't even understand myself."

Following the footage of Polat drinking gold-dusted coffee on live broadcast, MASAK took action and seized the assets of the Polat family.

SHE HAD CALLED IT FAKE, THE PRICE TURNED OUT TO BE 46 THOUSAND TL

When the gold coffee cup became a topic of discussion again following her later statement, she claimed the cup was fake. It has emerged that the gold-plated cup from which Dilan Polat drank coffee is sold for 46 thousand TL on the brand's website.

In her statement regarding the cup, Dilan Polat had said: "It's this, it's fake... A page called 'Kokoşciciler' makes them. What you call gold dust is sold for 100 liras. These are things found in all cafes."
