The court has reached a verdict in the lawsuit filed by Duygu Nebioğlu, one of the twin daughters born from master actor Metin Akpınar's extramarital affair in the 1980s. The court ruled that Akpınar must pay 6 million TL in non-pecuniary damages on the grounds that his paternal responsibilities were not fulfilled.

Speaking to Tuba Kalçık from Sabah, Nebioğlu stated that the outcome of the case was not a surprise to her, saying, "Since the lawsuit was filed 2 years ago, I will receive around 9 million TL in compensation including interest. Actually, the reason I filed this lawsuit was because he misled the public. If you remember, he had said about my mother, 'I had a one-night stand. After that incident, we neither met nor communicated again,' and claimed he was unaware of us. I was very hurt by these words of my father. He denied that he had a relationship with my mother and that he knew about us. He clearly lied. We have proven with a court decision that my father lied to the public."
"UĞUR DÜNDAR GAVE FALSE TESTIMONY TO THE COURT"
Pointing out that witness testimonies were also decisive in the case, Nebioğlu said that Uğur Dündar, who testified in favor of Metin Akpınar, gave false testimony.
Nebioğlu continued her words as follows:
“We already proved with witnesses that my father and mother had a relationship. In this case, Uğur Dündar also participated in the lawsuit as my father's witness. He also gave 'false testimony' to the court. By winning this case, we have proven with a court decision that it was not a 'one-night stand' for my mother. By winning this case, I restored my mother's reputation. My mother was a woman who was deceived at a young age. Look, we see it now too, our girls are being deceived through drug and prostitution operations. My mother was also deceived by 45-50-year-old men. History repeats itself. Today, we see similar stories of women as far as the operations are reflected in the press. My father deceived my mother. If my father had said in front of the public when these events first emerged, 'I made a mistake, I could not take care of my children,' everything would have been very different. But my father did not do this. Instead, he chose to lie.”
