Announcing that he has been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, the singer said, "As a result of a series of hospital and doctor examinations over the past two months, it has been revealed that I have contracted Ramsay Hunt syndrome. I am happy to finally be overcoming this difficult process and to know that there is a treatment for my condition."

"Friends, this syndrome occurs when a virus called herpes infects my middle ear, causing damage to the balance and hearing nerves. I have been experiencing the following symptoms for the last 6 months.

Constant ringing and a tingling sensation in my right ear, numbness and swelling on the right side of my face, blisters on the roof of my mouth, balance problems while walking, and slight stumbling. It is treatable with medication to be administered intravenously. My treatment will begin next Tuesday. I would like to thank everyone who has sent their well wishes."
