Singer Şimal, who regained her health after beating breast cancer in 2021, has lost her difficult battle against a tumor detected in her brain.

The news of the 39-year-old artist's passing, who had been receiving treatment in intensive care for some time, has caused deep sorrow in the music world and among her fans.

WHO IS SINGER ŞİMAL?

Singer Şimal was born in Istanbul on April 25, 1986. She made a significant breakthrough starting in 2012 when she stepped into the music world. The artist, who holds an impressive place in the music industry, has nearly 400 compositions to her name.

While Özken Ulusoy served as the producer for her first album, 'Başlangıç', the arrangements were handled by Taşkın Sabah and Erdem Kınay.

The music video for the song 'Şimal Yıldızı', which is featured on the album and written by Şimal Gülen, was directed by Enmir Khalilzadeh. The artist's success trajectory in the music world continued to rise with these important collaborations and her personal works.

The famous singer Şimal had been struggling with illnesses for many years. Having beaten the breast cancer she fought for a long time in 2022, and having undergone surgery for a brain tumor last January, the famous singer Şimal had most recently announced that her disease had metastasized.

Singer Şimal, who asked for prayers from her fans, had shaved her head. Sharing those moments on her social media account, Şimal had included the following statements:

"We are on a new adventure again, the two of us. Well, it's not easy; we have been fighting cancer for 4 years. As a matter of fact, I can say that this last metastasis has been our strongest stance. It taught us something in every phase. Now we don't let it upset us; on the contrary, we make fun of it. My hair has fallen out, my eyebrows and eyelashes have fallen out; none of it matters a bit. New ones are coming in healthier, let's keep that between us.

We are laughing at everything it makes us experience. Trust in God, this too will pass like the others. Oh, watch your thoughts. Morale is very important. The more you say 'I am sick,' the sicker you get; the more you say 'I am bad,' the worse you get (experience is speaking). By the way, on this account that we have built stitch by stitch for years for those who love the songs I release and like my stage performances, the number of followers who have experienced this disease after me and who take me as an example has also increased. So our family has grown.

Although it is thought that it is difficult for a hormone-positive cancer to metastasize to the brain, as someone who has experienced this twice, my advice to you is: if you have a severe headache and painkillers do not relieve it, consult your oncologist and have an MRI with contrast. Because most of the messages I receive are, 'Sister, we heard from you and went out of fear to get an MRI with contrast, and a tumor was found in my brain too.' I am very sad; may God help us all, that is why early diagnosis is very important. I don't usually write such long posts, but I wanted to write it once and write it fully. I apologize if I bored you.
