South Korean internet streamer withJENNY, who tours Istanbul and shares her experiences with her followers in real-time, encountered an unwanted incident during a live broadcast in Taksim, Beyoğlu. While she was recording, a person approached her and first asked, "Do you have a friend here?" He then offered to stay with the streamer and began following her down the street for a while.
Stating that she did not speak Turkish, withJENNY asked the person following her to speak in English. However, despite the streamer's warning, the man did not leave her alone. Those moments were reflected on the live broadcast before the eyes of the viewers. After a short while, the follower left the area and moved away from the streamer.
Another moment occurred when withJENNY entered a business. One of the employees at the workplace warned those around him about the live broadcast, saying, "She is streaming; she will put us on the internet later. Be careful about such things. Be alert, be smart." All of these warnings were also recorded on the live broadcast.
A similar incident occurred on Istiklal Avenue in June. At that time, it was reported that a Japanese tourist streamer had faced harassment from a 60-year-old individual. Following the incident, the Japanese streamer addressed her followers, saying, "I love the Turkish people very much. I want everyone to live happily and in friendship without fighting."
