"I performed an angiography procedure on artist Haluk Levent. Haluk Levent is an artist known for his powerful voice who also plays an active role in Turkey's most important social responsibility projects. Following chest pain he experienced during a concert in July 2024, examinations revealed that he had not suffered a heart attack, but a previously undiagnosed diabetes was detected during this process. Although he started taking diabetes medication at that time, other medications he likely needed were not prescribed. Additionally, it was known that his cholesterol levels were high and his intense work pace increased his health risks.
He presented to our hospital again yesterday with a complaint of chest pain. Upon detecting some changes in his ECG and blood tests, we decided to perform an angiography to clarify his condition. While his situation was not an emergency, a detailed evaluation was necessary.

In the angiography I performed today, we detected a finding called 'coronary slow flow.' This condition refers to a clinical picture that can mimic a heart attack, arising from the combination of diabetes, high cholesterol, and stress. Although it may appear innocent, coronary slow flow is considered the first stage of cardiovascular disease and is a condition that can lead to more serious vascular blockages over time.
