Akbank Chairperson Suzan Sabancı Dinçer has filed for divorce from her husband of 28 years, Haluk Dinçer.
It was stated that Haluk Dinçer will continue to serve as the President of the Food and Retailing Group at Sabancı Holding following the divorce.
The Dinçer couple, who have decided to divorce after 28 years, have a 27-year-old son named Haluk Akay and a 25-year-old daughter named Ceyda.
'WE HAVE DECIDED TO END OUR UNION'
Bülent Cankurt wrote in his column for Günaydın, “I called both parties to confirm; it is true… Ms. Suzan said, ‘Yes, it is true. After a colorful 28-year marriage filled with love and respect, we have decided to end this union after careful consideration and consultation with our children.’”
He further wrote that Mr. Haluk said, “In the coming period, we will maintain our determination to protect the unity of our nuclear family. We believe that continuing our commitment to one another as best friends will be the healthiest path forward.”
