Temperatures rising in Istanbul: 'Pastırma yaz' (Indian summer) is coming

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has announced that the rainfall that has been effective since the beginning of October has ended and no precipitation is expected for the next 7-10 days.
According to AKOM data, air temperatures, which are currently around 15–18°C, are expected to rise from the middle of the week and exceed 20°C.
Meteorology experts describe this situation as a short-term "pastırma yaz" (Indian summer) experienced in the middle of autumn. The "pastırma yaz" is known as a warm period that lasts for a few days before the winter season begins. In the statement made by AKOM, it was noted that "Temperatures are expected to increase starting from Thursday and reach spring-like levels." This indicates that Istanbul will experience short-term warm and sunny days.
