Mehmet Kurtuluş is a German actor of Turkish descent, born on April 27, 1972, in Uşak. Kurtuluş, who immigrated to Germany with his family when he was just 18 months old, grew up in the city of Salzgitter in Lower Saxony with his brother Tekin Kurtuluş.

His interest in theater began at a young age, and he took the stage in his school theater in 1989. After graduating in 1991, he continued his amateur theater work and began performing professionally at the Braunschweig State Theater in 1993.
