It has emerged that a large number of applications have been made to the 'Beauty School' affiliated with İSMEK following the enrichment of beauty center owners such as Dilan Polat, Şule Kayatürk, and Ece Ronay.

While approximately 500,000 people applied for beauty courses, the most preferred branches were hairdressing, skincare, hand and foot care, haircutting, and makeup artistry. One of the destinations for women who want to improve themselves in the beauty sector and become their own bosses is Enstitü İstanbul İSMEK.

A total of 495,540 people applied for the free training programs this year.

According to the report by Gülden Çoktan from Milliyet, 221,341 of the applications were for in-person training, while 274,199 were for remote education. We spoke with trainees studying at the Bakırköy Beauty and Hair Care Services School. Some are taking the training to become their own bosses, while others are doing so to avoid the high costs of hairdressing services in daily life.

JOB SEARCH

51-year-old Neslihan Parlak, who says she started looking for a job after retiring and discovered the Enstitü İstanbul İSMEK Beauty and Hair Care Services School at the end of her search, says, "My goal is to improve my practice somewhere and then open my own business."

Seda Çalışye, who used to work for airlines, is also among those attending the Skincare course. Çalışye says she has come to know her skin better and no longer pays high amounts for products sold in stores.

Theater actress İrem Uğural said, "I am coming to this school to improve myself. I am in the Medical Aromatic Plants Department at the University of Health Sciences, and at the same time, I am attending skincare training. I am taking the makeup artist course because I apply this in theater as well." Canan Şirin, who has been working in the beauty sector for 15 years, is also among those attending the course to complete her missing skills.

GOOD MONEY CAN BE EARNED

Instructor Vildan Uzunali says their goal is to ensure women's employment and help them acquire a profession, adding: "When our students who complete the training reach sufficient equipment, we contact our regional employment offices. The women who come here say, 'I can do this job, I can earn my own money.' I am training manicurists. A manicurist can earn very good money."
