Van cats, one of the city's most important assets with their affectionate nature, white silky fur, lion-like walk, long and fluffy tail resembling a fox's tail, different eye colors, and fondness for water, continue to give birth.
At the Cat House Villa, where the first group of births this year is ongoing, the cat named 'Mia', a beauty queen of Turkey, has also given birth. Mia, who gave birth to 5 kittens in her first litter and 4 in her second, has brought two more kittens into the world this time.
Van Cat Research Center Director Prof. Dr. Abdullah Kaya stated that the cat named 'Mia' is an animal known worldwide for its beauty.
Expressing that the kittens obtained from the cat named Mia are valuable to them, Prof. Dr. Kaya said, "Our cat gave birth again this year. She gave birth to two kittens as beautiful as herself. We are happy because of this. This was her third birth this year. The kittens she gave birth to last year will give birth at our center this year. We are trying to increase the same lineage in our center. We definitely set aside the cats that most resemble their mother for breeding purposes."
