They went to the Survivor finale in a vehicle with illegal flashing lights: Minister Yerlikaya said 'the necessary action was taken'

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the contestants who arrived at the finale of the Survivor All Star competition, broadcast on TV8, in a vehicle equipped with illegal flashing lights.

Yerlikaya stated that an administrative fine was imposed on the vehicle driver as part of the investigation launched after the footage was shared on social media.

The use of illegal flashing lights in the vehicle carrying Survivor All Star contestants Sahra Işık, Damla Can, and Yağmur Banda, and the subsequent sharing of the footage on social media, drew criticism.

Following the footage shared by Sahra Işık with the caption "When you say flashing lights, it's me," police teams launched an investigation.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced in a social media post titled 'THE NECESSARY ACTION WAS TAKEN-18' that an administrative fine had been issued to the driver of the vehicle with the illegal lights and that the equipment had been removed from the vehicle.

Yerlikaya used the following expressions:

"It has been determined and confirmed that this vehicle driver installed and used devices that emit light and sound warning signals on a vehicle not permitted by legislation. An administrative fine has been imposed on the vehicle driver, and the flashing light/siren system has been removed. The priority of our ambulances, fire trucks, and police vehicles in traffic while on duty is directed toward human health and the fight against criminals. We will never allow those who use illegal flashing lights and act with a sense of superiority in traffic."
