To earn 1 million pounds per episode: 'The highest fee paid to a star'

It has been claimed that famous British actor Eddie Redmayne will earn 1 million pounds per episode in the 100 million pound budget series adaptation of the 1973 thriller "The Day Of The Jackal."

The Daily Mirror newspaper reported that this amount is "the highest fee paid to a star."

The 10-episode series, which is preparing to meet the audience on November 7, tells the story of a trained killer hired to assassinate French President Charles de Gaulle.

In the series, Redmayne portrays the lone assassin known as the Jackal, a role played by Edward Fox in the 1973 classic film.
