Gastronomy writer Vedat Milor reacted to having his photo taken without permission at a restaurant he visited in Istanbul.
Milor, who produces a program on his YouTube channel, expressed his reaction to the owner with the words: "The food is truly amazing, but I don't think I will come again. Why? Because I felt used. I will ask you not to say anything, I will ask you not to respond. I never want anything done in my name in life without my consent; I feel used and exploited. Do not say 'don't mention it' (estağfurullah). I think the more you talk with that phrase, the further you move away from civilization. Do not say 'don't mention it' at all."

Stating, "You stood behind me and took a photo, and your friend took one from over there. I did not consent to these," Milor continued his words as follows:
"Taking a photo while I am eating here is an intrusion into my privacy. This really offended me. Because I am not a performing monkey here. I am not like other gourmets either. I come, and I do not want to be disturbed. Therefore, let the viewers know, it is not much of a pleasure for me; I might gradually cut my ties with Turkey completely. These behaviors make me unhappy; I cannot enjoy it and I get stressed. That is why I could not fully enjoy this meal. Still, thank you very much. The food is truly wonderful, I recommend it."
