Verdict in the 'Free the Nipples' case! Melisa Aydınalp acquitted: 'Wearing a bikini is not exhibitionism'

A verdict has been reached regarding model Melisa Aydınalp, who was detained for walking around in a swimsuit in Istanbul. Aydınalp was acquitted in the trial where she was being tried for 'Indecent Behavior' with a requested sentence of 6 months to 1 year in prison. Speaking to 12punto, the famous model said, "Wearing a bikini or swimsuit is not exhibitionism. I am happy with the decision; my actions will continue."

Taking action following the incident, the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office ordered Aydınalp to be detained and referred to the courthouse.

After her procedures at the police station, Melisa Aydınalp was brought to the courthouse and gave her statement to the prosecutor. Following her statement, the Anatolian 6th Criminal Court of Peace, to which she was referred, had decided to impose judicial control measures in the form of a travel ban and a requirement to sign in.
