Taking action following the incident, the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office ordered Aydınalp to be detained and referred to the courthouse.

After her procedures at the police station, Melisa Aydınalp was brought to the courthouse and gave her statement to the prosecutor. Following her statement, the Anatolian 6th Criminal Court of Peace, to which she was referred, had decided to impose judicial control measures in the form of a travel ban and a requirement to sign in.

Melisa Aydınalp was acquitted in the trial where she was being tried for 'Indecent Behavior' with a requested sentence of 6 months to 1 year in prison.

Evaluating the acquittal decision for 12punto, Aydınalp said, "I have been acquitted in all 3 cases filed against me. I fought and I won. Wearing a bikini is not exhibitionism. We have seen this once again. I have taken women's freedom to a higher level. My actions will continue."
