Verdict in paternity suit filed by Sevgi Katkıcı against Metin Akpınar

It was previously revealed that veteran actor Metin Akpınar had twin daughters from an extramarital relationship 36 years ago. 

Following Duygu Nebioğlu, who proved through a court ruling that she is Akpınar's daughter, her twin sister Sevgi Katkıcı also filed a lawsuit.

According to a report by Sabah; the lawsuit filed by Katkıcı against Metin Akpınar at the Antalya Family Court has concluded. The DNA report obtained from the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute reached the Antalya 5th Family Court. The report confirmed that Sevgi Katkıcı is the daughter of Metin Akpınar. 

Following this, the court delivered its verdict. In the final hearing, it was stated that it had been determined that Metin Akpınar is the father of Sevgi Katkıcı, and it was decided to establish a legal bond of paternity between Metin Akpınar and Sevgi Katkıcı.

OFFICIALLY BECAME HER FATHER BY COURT ORDER

With the court's decision, it has been finalized that Metin Akpınar is also the father of Sevgi Katkıcı, the twin of Duygu Nebioğlu. In a previous statement, Sevgi Katkıcı had explained that she believed she was Metin Akpınar's daughter based on the DNA report, but that there had been no change in his attitude. Katkıcı had said, "We never had a father-daughter relationship. Duygu saw him more often. I never saw a hug, a kiss, or received a call. I was always the one who called on special occasions. After the news broke, I expected him to call and apologize. In the press statement he made, I expected him to apologize to Mr. Özdener and Ms. Emine, who raised us, and to thank them by saying, 'You looked after my children for years,' but unfortunately, I did not see any of these."
