“If anything happens to me, the Polat couple is responsible,” she had said: Armed attack on singer Banu Parlak’s beauty salon

Two people on a motorcycle arrived at the beauty center located in the Bahçeşehir 1st Stage Doğa Park and opened fire on Banu Parlak’s workplace. The beauty center sustained damage, with 5 bullets hitting its glass.

Business owner Banu Parlak stated that two separate armed attacks were carried out on her workplace, at 02:00 and 05:00.

Police teams conducted an investigation at the scene, and an inquiry into the incident has been launched.

“SHE THREATENED ME BY SAYING ‘YOU HAVE A CHILD, DON’T DO IT’”

In a video she posted on her Instagram account after the attack, Banu Parlak said the following:

“Before the incident, Dilan Polat called me and threatened me, saying, ‘They took Sıla in, they will take Engin and me in too, don’t post about us, you have a child, don’t do it.’ There is a backstory to this incident as well; they borrowed money from a friend named Halil İbrahim K. to open a beauty center. When this person asked for his money back, they said, ‘Shoot Banu Parlak and we will give you your money,’ but because Halil İbrahim K. refused, they shot him in the knee. No precautions were taken, and finally, my shop was shot at. What’s next? Do I have to die? I am a woman raising a child on her own, I am scared. I want these people to get off my back and for my safety to be ensured.”

“MY LIFE IS IN DANGER”

It had previously been alleged that social media phenomenon and beauty center owner Dilan Polat, who has recently been in the spotlight over accusations of money laundering and tax evasion, and her husband Engin Polat, wanted to have Banu Parlak shot by hiring a hitman.

Banu Parlak had said the following:

“My first hostility with Dilan Polat started when I opened a beauty center. She said, ‘How can you open a beauty center when I have one?’... Later, the events died down. I thought it was over, but they had taken money from a young man in their neighborhood under the guise of a loan, and to avoid paying it back, they made shooting Banu Parlak a condition, but the young man didn’t do it.”

“Later, they had the young man taken into custody, and when he was released, he was shot in the leg. The young man himself says, ‘They told me to shoot Banu Parlak, I didn’t. Because of this, they didn’t give me my money, and on top of that, they had me shot in front of my children, saying it was from Dilan Polat and Engin Polat.’”

“I am raising a child on my own and standing tall. What does it mean to want to have a mother shot with a gun? Since my life is no longer safe, if anything happens to me, Dilan Polat and Engin Polat are responsible. This is announced to the public. Justice will do what is necessary.
