The 50-year-old Ergün, who lives in Chicago and holds a private pilot license, shared the video on his social media account of himself communicating with the tower to land at the airport using the distinct regional accent.

50-year-old Murat Ergün lives in Chicago, Illinois. Ergün, who holds a Private Pilot License (PPL), used a Black Sea dialect while communicating with the tower for his plane's landing in a video he recorded recently. As the video spread on social media, it was watched by thousands and received great attention.
Following the popularity of the video, Ergün stated in information shared on social media that he has pursued his passion for aviation since he was young. Ergün, who volunteers to teach Turks living in America about building and flying drones, stated that he decided to join a parachute course at the age of 17 without his father's permission and began realizing his dreams when he turned 18.
Emphasizing that his purpose in filming the videos is to instill a love of aviation in young people, Ergün noted that videos made using the Black Sea dialect, in particular, attract attention. He also shared that he was born and raised in İzmit and learned the Black Sea accent from Black Sea natives in his circle.
Speaking about his future dream, the pilot from İzmit stated that he is considering flying across the Atlantic in a small plane to reach Turkey. Expressing that he is currently making flight plans to achieve this goal, Ergün advised young people not to give up on their dreams.
