Volkan Konak suffered a heart attack on stage during a holiday program in the İskele district of Cyprus. After receiving CPR on stage, Konak was taken to the hospital, where he passed away at the age of 58 despite all medical interventions. Following the news of his death on a holiday, a statement Konak made during a past program appearance has resurfaced.
Years ago, during a program he attended, Konak had said the following:
'Even death should be beautiful. Yet, I am very saddened by those who die from stove poisoning. I am very saddened by deaths during holidays. Even death should be beautiful.'
