Water warning from Engin Altan Düzyatan: 'It is beyond us now'
The launch of the documentary 'Sen de Fark Et' (You Notice It Too), produced and directed by Engin Altan Düzyatan, which focuses on the problems caused by plastic and microplastic pollution worldwide, was held at Feriye. Speaking at the launch, Düzyatan said, "It is truly beyond us now. We are somehow trying to leave a better world for our children."

The documentary, filmed in 6 different countries, aims to create mass awareness about the danger of plastic waste by following the journey of plastic waste and its effects on the environment.
Making statements about the documentary, Düzyatan drew attention to the fact that water resources are being polluted with microplastics all over the world, saying, "We went to the Far East. We went to Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and at the same time to Japan, the best country in the world on this issue. We saw the best there too. They have reached zero waste in a town called Kamikatsu. They separate their trash into 65 pieces. In this documentary, we realized that unfortunately, our waters are being polluted with microplastics. We need to take individual action for this."
Touching on the importance of individual awareness, Düzyatan made the following assessments:
"It is truly beyond us now. We are somehow trying to leave a better world for our children. If we do not find a solution quickly, unfortunately, they will also be working on 'how can we leave a better world' for their own children. I am not hopeless.
After all, science is advancing. When I started like this 5 years ago, there was no solution that could clean microplastics. Currently, even if it is costly, a solution has been found that can be cleaned in water. We also need to emphasize that these individual awakenings need to happen quickly."
Düzyatan also stated that he encountered very interesting scenes during the filming process of the documentary, adding that individual awareness and education, especially in children, should be developed on this issue.
The production process of the documentary, which was filmed in Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, England, and Turkey, was completed in 4 years.
