Serdar Adıyaman, son of Şefik Adıyaman, a prominent leader of the Jirki tribe residing in the village of Çanaklı on the Hakkari-Van highway, and his bride Dilan Çiftçi were married in a legendary wedding ceremony. The wedding of Dilan and Serdar was attended by tribal leaders, community elders, mayors from various provinces, districts, and towns, military officials, political party representatives, members of non-governmental organizations, and thousands of guests from both within the country and abroad.
5 MILLION 150 THOUSAND TL IN CASH FOR THE GROOM, 5 KG OF GOLD FOR THE BRIDE
In accordance with tribal traditions, a gift table was set up at the wedding venue. During the ceremony, where the names of the guests and the amounts they gifted were announced, the bundles of cash placed on the table were counted by approximately 15 people. Following the counting process, it was announced that the total amount gifted was 5 million 150 thousand TL. It was also stated that the bride was gifted 5 kilograms of gold.
The groom's father, community leader Şefik Adıyaman, stated that the spirit of unity and solidarity displayed at both weddings and funerals is a culture inherited from the past, adding, "I would like to thank all the guests who attended our wedding."
The groom's best man, businessman Mikail Adıyaman, thanked the guests for not leaving them alone on their happy day, saying, "Our guests who came from within the country and abroad made us extremely happy. We thank everyone who participated in our wedding."
