It has been reported that Sezai Altekin, who lived in Muğla, has passed away. Famous artist Nedim Saban published a message of condolence following Altekin's passing. In his post, Saban said, "I am so sad. Sezai Altekin, we had received good news just the other day! I worked with that great actor in Halide Edib's play 'Maske ve Ruh' (Mask and Soul), and I shared our laughter at the table with that great heart with a child's spirit. I was lucky. WHO IS SEZAİ ALTEKİN?
Sezai Altekin was born in Istanbul in 1946. After graduating from Pertevniyal High School, he joined the Istanbul City Theatres in 1966 and served there until his retirement. Beyond theater acting, he also accomplished significant work in television, cinema, and voice acting. In the 1980s, he participated in many voice-over projects alongside Gazanfer Özcan.
Altekin was particularly known for his voice work for the characters Barney Rubble and Papa Smurf. In the 2007-2008 season, he joined Duru Tiyatro as a guest actor for the play "Bana Bir Picasso Gerek" (I Need a Picasso). Sezai Altekin, who portrayed the character "Paşa Dede" in the series "Paşa Gönlüm" broadcast on Kanal D in 2014, worked with Ali Sabuncugil Management.
