Woman loses her life in fire while cooking in Aksaray
A mother of four lost her life in a fire that broke out in an apartment in Aksaray while she was cooking.

In a tragic incident that occurred yesterday evening in the Küçük Bölcek neighborhood of Aksaray, a woman living alone on the top floor of a 4-story apartment building lost her life. It was stated that the incident began when her clothing caught fire while she was cooking in the kitchen during the evening hours.
It was learned that while trying to extinguish the flames on her dress, she lost her balance in the hallway and fell to the floor, and the fire from her clothing spread to the carpet. The apartment was engulfed in flames as the fire spread rapidly.
After neighbors and relatives could not reach her for a long time, her family arrived at the home and encountered the fire upon opening the door. Upon notification, fire, medical, and police teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. While the fire was brought under control with the intervention of the teams, medical personnel determined that the woman had lost her life during their examination.
The body was delivered to her family following an autopsy at the Aksaray Training and Research Hospital and was taken to the Somuncu Baba Complex. Aksaray Governor Murat Duru and family members attended the funeral ceremony held. After the funeral prayer, the woman was laid to rest in the Ervah Cemetery.
While the cause of the fire was stated to be flames jumping from the stove used in the kitchen, an investigation into the incident has been launched.
