Yağmur Taktaş murder: Shocking allegations from her family

Yağmur Taktaş, a social media influencer who rose to fame on the television competition 'İşte Benim Stilim,' passed away on April 3 after falling ill in the US and being taken to a hospital.

An autopsy was performed to determine the exact cause of death, and Taktaş's body was brought back by air and laid to rest on April 20 at the Kabasakal Cemetery in Adana.

Taktaş's family has filed a complaint through their lawyers against her boyfriend, a Turkish-American painter identified as A.C.F., claiming he was responsible for the death of their daughter, who had previously been beaten and lost her spleen.

Taktaş's aunt, K.C., who lives in Adana and with whom Taktaş constantly shared her struggles, requested that her identity be kept private. She alleged that her niece had been in a relationship with A.C.F. for two years.

'SHE SUFFERED SEVERE BLOWS'

Explaining that A.C.F. had an obsessive love for her niece, K.C. said, "He beat my niece last year when they came to Istanbul. She suffered severe blows and had to have her spleen removed at the hospital where she was taken. The case opened regarding this incident is still ongoing. However, my niece withdrew her complaint due to threats."

Stating that the trial is continuing as a public prosecution, K.C. noted that her niece went to the US for a vacation with her boyfriend last August but never returned.

K.C. also explained that her boyfriend would not let her niece go, even as her mental health deteriorated day by day due to pressure and threats.

K.C. added that the exact cause of death would be determined by the autopsy results.

'IN MY NIECE'S DEATH...'

Stating that the process would take 4-5 months to finalize, K.C. said, "They said there were only trace amounts of drugs in her blood, not enough to cause death. I believe her boyfriend definitely has a connection to my niece's death; I am as sure of it as I am of my own name because we were in constant communication."

K.C. continued as follows:

"If this substance killed my niece, I am sure that even that was given to her by her boyfriend. Because of his jealousy, he would shave her eyebrows and the front of her hair so that no one would look at her or find her attractive. He beat my niece until she was nearly dead; she lost her spleen. This violence continued even when she was in Turkey.

When Yağmur wouldn't go to him, he would make posts on her social media account and share unflattering photos of her. He would come to our house. Yağmur was 1.80 meters tall, but recently she had dropped to 50 kilograms and had become tiny. Besides beating my daughter, he kept her hungry and wouldn't let her go outside. Her mental state had also deteriorated; she had become practically paranoid."

'SHE KEPT SAYING HE WAS HITTING HER'

Stating that they have included their messages with Yağmur in the case file, K.C. demanded that the investigation be thoroughly examined in all aspects, saying, "In the messages she sent me, she kept saying that she wanted to return to Turkey but that her boyfriend wouldn't allow it, and that he was constantly hitting her and treating her badly."

Expressing that they have launched a legal battle in both the US and Turkey, K.C. said, "We will never let this matter go. We are waiting for the autopsy report regarding the exact cause of death. I just want my niece to at least rest in peace in her grave."
