ETCHED INTO MEMORY FROM YEŞİLÇAM

Alço, who has a place in the memories of a wide audience with the characters he portrayed in Turkish cinema, had also come to the agenda with statements he made years later. Known for productions such as “Ah Bu Dünya”, “Kayıp Kızlar”, “Tele Kızlar”, and “Katiller De Ağlar”, the actor had opened the doors of his home on a television program and shared his memories of his Yeşilçam years.

Showing the clothes in his wardrobe during the program, Alço said that he attached great importance to his clothes in his youth. Regarding that period, the master actor stated, “The money of that time was already very valuable; with the money I spent on these clothes, one could have bought a house or a car. Because my clothes were coming from Italy. We had them specially tailored from abroad.”

In the same program, Alço also spoke about his private life; while talking about his love for children, he described his biggest regret in life with the words, “I love children very much. That is my only misfortune. I wish I had had one when I met her 10 years ago. So that they could carry our surname after I die.”

HIS REAL NAME HAD ALSO BEEN A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION

It had previously come to the agenda that the master actor, known by the name Nuri Alço, is officially registered as Nureddin İbrahimov. Preferring to use a shorter and more memorable name in his artistic career, Alço became one of the well-known brands of Turkish cinema under this name.
