YouTuber Jessica Pettway dies of cancer following misdiagnosis

36-year-old YouTuber Jessica Pettway has passed away after being misdiagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. Pettway had bravely shared her battle with the terminal illness and the fact that she had been misdiagnosed on Instagram in July 2023.

She leaves behind her husband and two young children.

Her sister, Reyni, confirmed Pettway's death and shared her grief in a message posted on March 15.

Reyni said, "Today is my birthday and my wish is for God to bring you back to this world."

Pettway had amassed a large audience on her YouTube channel, which she started in November 2013, with 441 videos and over 228,000 subscribers.

Pettway also gathered over 151,000 followers by calling herself the "Compton Bohemian," offering digital content in the fields of style, lifestyle, and beauty.

Fans and other social media influencers posted messages of condolence on their accounts as news of Pettway's death spread.
