11-year-old girl found shot in the head with a rifle

In the Geyve district of Sakarya, an 11-year-old girl was found shot in the head with a rifle at home.

The child, who was rushed to the hospital, could not be saved and lost her life, while her father was taken into custody.

The tragic incident occurred in the Çeltikler neighborhood. 11-year-old Ela E., who was reportedly at home with her sibling, was found shot in the head with a rifle.

The unfortunate child, who received initial medical intervention from emergency teams arriving at the scene upon notification, passed away at Geyve State Hospital, where she had been transported.

Following a comprehensive investigation conducted by police teams at the house where the incident took place, the deceased child's father, Ercan E., was taken into custody.

An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
