12-year-old girl dies after being attacked by stray dogs
A 12-year-old girl who was seriously injured in an attack by stray dogs in Yüksekova has lost her life despite all medical interventions.

The incident occurred around 12:00 PM in an area across from the Akalın Cemetery. According to the information obtained, a girl identified as E.T. was attacked by stray dogs while walking in the snow. The girl, who was bitten on the neck by the dogs, was seriously injured.
Upon notification by those nearby, 112 Emergency Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
After receiving initial treatment at the scene, E.T. was taken to Yüksekova State Hospital by ambulance, where she lost her life despite all interventions.
Her relatives, who heard the tragic news, flocked to Yüksekova State Hospital.
STATEMENT FROM JUSTICE MINISTER TUNÇ
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated that an investigation has been launched by the Yüksekova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the death of 12-year-old Eslem Teker as a result of an attack by stray dogs, and that the investigation will be conducted meticulously in all its aspects.
In a statement on his social media account, Tunç noted the following:
"The passing of our 12-year-old child Eslem, who lost her life in the hospital where she was taken after being injured as a result of an attack by stray dogs in the Esenyurt neighborhood of the Yüksekova district of our Hakkari province, has deeply saddened us all. A judicial investigation has been initiated by the Yüksekova Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident. The investigation will be carried out meticulously in all its aspects."
Minister Tunç wished for God's mercy upon the late Eslem Teker and extended his patience and condolences to her family and loved ones.
