15-day 'Temporary special security zone' declared in Şırnak
The Şırnak Governor's Office has announced that certain areas in the city center and its districts have been declared 'Temporary special security zones' for 15 days, between April 27 and May 11.

The Governor's Office statement included the following remarks:
“The Bestler Dereler Region located within the borders of the Central district of Şırnak province, the Gabar Mountain Region located within the borders of the Central district and Güçlükonak district of Şırnak province, the Cudi Mountain Region located within the borders of the Central district, Silopi and Cizre districts of Şırnak province, the Kurt Mountain Region located within the borders of the Central district, Silopi and Uludere districts of Şırnak province, the Kelmehmetler-Dönmezler-Kovankaya, Tahtareş, Hüsrevpaşa-Suhurpaşayayla, İncebeldağları, and Faraşin Regions located within the borders of the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak province, the Altındağları Region located within the borders of the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak province, and the Oymakaya Region located within the borders of the Beytüşşebap and Uludere districts of Şırnak province have been declared 'Temporary Special Security Zones' for 15 days between April 27, 2025 (inclusive) and May 11, 2025 (inclusive), in order to prevent citizens who may be considered to be traveling to the aforementioned regions from being harmed by illegal elements in these regions and the measures to be taken against them. It is respectfully announced to the public that our citizens may enter the declared regions between these dates by obtaining permission from the authorized authorities within the scope of the Military Forbidden Zones and Security Zones Law No. 2565, and that otherwise, criminal proceedings will be applied in accordance with Article 66 of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442.”
