The incident occurred on June 17, 2025, in the Fatih neighborhood of Küçükçekmece. According to the information obtained, 16-year-old Z.T., who was returning home from school after working on a project, was intercepted by two individuals named Fırat K. and Rıdvan C. The individuals, who attacked the boy on the grounds that he had taken photos of a woman, severely beat the 16-year-old. Following the incident, the teenager obtained a medical report documenting his injuries and filed a complaint against the individuals. The final hearing for the case against them was held today.
They changed his bloodied clothes and told him to say, "I fell down the stairs"
It is alleged that the attackers resorted to bizarre methods to hide the bloodied state of the boy they had beaten. The individuals first took Z.T. to a mosque restroom to wash his face, then took him to a clothing store to buy him new clothes. The attackers, who put the bloodied clothes in a bag, threatened the young boy by saying, "If your father hears about this, he will have a heart attack; tell him you fell down the stairs."
Money in his wallet disappeared, defense in court claimed it was "an accident"
The truth came to light when the boy's older brother noticed the situation upon returning home in the evening, and the matter was taken to the judiciary. Investigations revealed that there were no inappropriate recordings on the 16-year-old's phone. Furthermore, it was learned that the woman mentioned in the incident stated in her testimony, "I have no connection to this incident; such a thing did not happen." The defendants' defense in court, claiming they "headbutted him by accident," drew attention.
In the final hearing held today, the court acquitted one of the individuals involved in the incident, Rıdvan C. The court sentenced the other defendant, Fırat K., to 1 year and 4 months in prison.
Z.T. and his family, who are waiting for the day he will undergo surgery for the fracture in his nose, stated that the verdict was insufficient and that they would appeal the decision.
"He described the horror he experienced"
Describing the horror he experienced, Z.T. said, "They stopped me and claimed I had harassed a woman. Even though I told them I hadn't, they grabbed my wrists and headbutted me 4 times. Then they forcibly took my phone and checked my gallery. When they couldn't find any photos or videos, they panicked and tried to cover up the incident."
Meanwhile, the moments when the boy was beaten in front of a workplace were captured on security cameras. The footage shows the two individuals calling the young man over and then beating him.
