18 inmates hospitalized following complaints of nausea in prison
In the M-Type Closed and Open Penal Execution Institution located in the town of Beycuma, Zonguldak, 18 inmates were taken under treatment due to complaints of nausea and vomiting. It was learned that samples were collected by teams from the Provincial Health Directorate and the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture.

According to the information obtained, 18 inmates, 15 in the closed section and 3 in the open section of the Beycuma M-Type Penal Execution Institution, experienced complaints of nausea and vomiting.
Upon notification of the situation, 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the institution and provided initial intervention to the patients on-site. As a result of the health teams' assessment, a total of 5 inmates, 3 from the closed section and 2 from the open section, were transferred to Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital.
Following examinations and treatment at the hospital, the 5 inmates were discharged after being prescribed medication. It was learned that the discharged inmates and detainees were not diagnosed with food poisoning.
Following the incident, water samples were collected from the prison by teams from the Zonguldak Provincial Health Directorate, and food samples were collected by teams from the Zonguldak Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. It was noted that the process is being followed meticulously.
