2 arrested over baby's death by poisoning during pest control
Two of the three suspects detained in connection with the death of a 1-year-old baby, who was poisoned following pest control treatment in an apartment building in İzmir's Konak district, have been arrested.

The police procedures have been completed for the 3 suspects detained in connection with the incident in İzmir's Konak district, where residents living on the floors above and below an apartment were poisoned and hospitalized, and a 1-year-old baby lost their life, following a bedbug extermination treatment.
Of the suspects referred to the courthouse, agricultural engineer B.Ö. (47), who performed the spraying, and employee E.G. (44), who assisted with the treatment, were arrested by the judgeship. The intermediary, E.G. (46), was released under judicial control conditions.
Meanwhile, university student G.U., a resident of the apartment building who was affected by the pesticide, has been discharged following treatment at Alsancak State Hospital.
THE INCIDENT
In an apartment building in İzmir's Konak district, 1-year-old Altay Toprak Kınalı died from poisoning following a pest control treatment, while the baby's mother and father, who were among the 3 people hospitalized, have been discharged.
The agricultural engineer who performed the spraying, their assistant, and 1 person who acted as an intermediary for the job had been detained.
