2 suspects walking with a pump-action shotgun in front of a school apprehended

Police teams, acting on a report that 2 individuals were walking with a pump-action shotgun in front of a high school in the Efeler district of Aydın, apprehended the suspects who fled the scene shortly after.

The incident occurred in the evening hours in front of the Mimar Sinan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School located in Fatih Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, citizens who saw 2 suspects with a pump-action shotgun in their hands wandering around the school for an unknown reason reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene.

The individuals, noticing the police, hid the pump-action shotgun they were carrying under a minibus parked inside the Fatih Covered Bazaar near the school and fled the scene. Teams arriving in the area launched an investigation to locate the weapon and the individuals. As a result of the examinations, the pump-action shotgun was found hidden behind the left front wheel of the parked minibus. After extensive security measures were taken in the area, crime scene investigation teams conducted their work.

Suspects apprehended in a short time

An investigation was also launched to apprehend the 2 suspects involved in the incident. Based on the statements of eyewitnesses, one person was apprehended at the scene as a suspect. During the examinations, it was understood that the apprehended youth was not one of the suspects involved in the incident.

Later, the teams, who examined the camera recordings in the area and took the statements of eyewitnesses, expanded their search efforts to find the suspects. The 2 suspects, whose identities were determined in a short time, were identified as R.E.Ç. and E.A. Following the efforts, the 2 suspects were apprehended in Osman Yozgatlı Neighborhood. While it was determined that the detained suspects were 17 years old, the investigation into the incident continues.
