22 injured in collision between passenger minibus and car

The accident occurred during the night at the Yeni Mahalle Cemetery Junction on the Kırıkkale-Kırşehir highway. According to the information obtained, a passenger minibus with license plate 71 M 0127, driven by K.A., collided with a car with license plate 06 MEC 96, driven by E.M.Ü. 

As a result of the accident, a total of 22 people were injured, including the drivers, as well as Y.K., H.A.U., F.Ö., H.G., M.K., E.Y., Ş.D., E.Ü., Ş.E.A., A.F.T., Y.K., B.Y., Z.D.A., O.Ç.T., G.U., B.Y., G.B., M.Ö.Ö., A.H., and one unidentified person. Upon notification to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to hospitals by ambulances after receiving initial intervention at the scene. The highway, which was closed to vehicle traffic for a while, was reopened to traffic after the vehicles were removed from the road.

Governor Mehmet Makas, accompanied by Provincial Police Chief Mustafa Emre Başbuğ and Provincial Health Director Dr. Murat Ağırtaş, visited the injured receiving treatment at the Yüksek İhtisas Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine Hospital and wished them a "speedy recovery." Speaking to reporters after the visit, Governor Makas stated that the traffic accident involving injuries occurred when the car lost control and hit the minibus traveling in front of it.

"WE HAVE ONE CRITICALLY INJURED PERSON"

Stating that the 22 people injured in the accident were taken to the Yüksek İhtisas Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine Hospital for treatment, Governor Makas said, "We have one critically injured person. We pray to God that there will be no complications for them as well.

With all our teams, the road was promptly reopened to traffic, and our injured were transported.

We are providing intervention with a sufficient number of doctors and health personnel. As of now, we have no issues," he said.
