286,000 TL fine for a 20,000 lira motorcycle
In the Erfelek district of Sinop, a total fine of 286,000 TL was issued to an unlicensed driver on a motorcycle without license plates who failed to comply with a "stop" order from traffic police.

According to the information obtained, teams conducting traffic inspections in the Erfelek district signaled a driver traveling on a motorcycle without license plates to stop.
The 16-year-old driver, identified as R.Ö., attempted to flee by ignoring the order but was apprehended by the teams shortly after.
During the inspection, it was determined that the driver did not have a driver's license and the motorcycle he was operating lacked license plates.
The driver, found to have violated traffic rules, was issued a total administrative fine of 286,000 TL under various articles. The motorcycle was banned from traffic and towed to a parking lot.
Reacting to the fine, R.Ö. stated that his motorcycle was worth approximately 20,000 TL and said, "How am I supposed to pay this fine? I want the fine to be reduced."
