3 million 924 thousand TL fine for 140 drivers

In the 'Peace and Security' operation conducted by police across Adana, a total of 3 million 924 thousand TL in fines was issued to 140 drivers who failed to comply with traffic rules. During the operation, 35 individuals wanted for various crimes were apprehended, and 4 unlicensed pistols were seized.

A 'Peace and Security' operation was carried out across the city under the coordination of the Adana Police Department's Public Security Branch.

Patrol, narcotics, traffic, and public security teams participated in the operation. A helicopter also provided aerial support for the operation, in which 1,615 police officers took part.

During the operation, which was conducted on the city's main arteries, 29 thousand 762 people underwent General Information Gathering (GBT) checks. In the checks, 35 people wanted for various crimes such as drug offenses, assault, and theft were apprehended and taken into custody.

In the traffic inspections, 7 thousand 937 vehicles were checked. During the checks, it was determined that 4 motorcycles were stolen. 2 vehicles were banned from traffic for being unfit for road use. A total of 3 million 647 thousand TL in fines was issued to 140 drivers who did not comply with the rules. A total of 33 thousand TL in fines was issued to 19 people found begging or selling goods at intersections. Inspections were carried out in public places, and proceedings were initiated against 16 businesses where irregularities were detected.

"Unlicensed pistols and narcotic substances seized"

At the operation points, narcotics and public security teams searched the individuals they deemed suspicious as well as their vehicles. As a result of the searches, 4 unlicensed pistols and a large number of cartridges belonging to them, 6 cutting and piercing tools, 11.48 grams of methamphetamine, 2.04 grams of bonzai, 1.07 grams of cannabis, and 175 ecstasy pills were seized.
