The accident occurred yesterday in the Karacami neighborhood. The car, whose driver's identity and license plate have not yet been determined, struck 4-year-old E.D., who was playing on the ground, while reversing out of a building's parking lot.
Following reports from bystanders, medical teams were dispatched to the scene for the child, who had become trapped under the vehicle. After receiving initial treatment, E.D. was taken to Payas State Hospital.
Police teams detained the driver of the car following the accident. It was stated that the moment of the incident was recorded by an apartment building's security camera.
