450,000 lira fine for drunk driver who ignored 'stop' order
In Elazığ, a drunk driver who failed to comply with a 'stop' order from traffic police was fined 450,000 lira.

The incident occurred at a police checkpoint on the Bingöl road. According to the information obtained, the Regional Traffic Inspection Branch teams, who were conducting checks, signaled a truck driver to 'stop' after the vehicle entered the checkpoint at high speed.
The driver, who did not comply with the police teams' order, began to flee.
The teams, who pursued the fleeing driver, caught the truck driver in the town of Akçakiraz.
Driver M.K., who had previously had his driver's license confiscated by police, was fined a total of 450,000 lira: 200,000 lira for driving without a license, 200,000 lira for failing to comply with a stop order, and 50,000 lira for driving under the influence of alcohol.
It was reported that the owner of the vehicle was also fined 40,000 lira for allowing an unlicensed person to drive the vehicle.
