8-year-old child who fell into irrigation canal loses life
The lifeless body of 8-year-old Syrian national Dunya Elsefir, who fell into an irrigation canal in the Serik district of Antalya, was found 2 kilometers away from the scene.

In the incident that occurred in the Aşağıoba neighborhood of Serik district, 8-year-old Dunya Elsefir fell into an irrigation canal. Upon notification by local citizens, gendarmerie, AFAD, AKUT, and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
As a result of the search and rescue efforts, the young child's lifeless body was found inside the canal approximately 2 kilometers away from where she fell.
The body of Dunya Elsefir, which was recovered from the canal, was sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue following the necessary examinations. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
