Achievement certificate for teacher who rescued kitten
In the Tatvan district of Bitlis, teacher Gülmehmet Yavuz, who noticed and rescued a kitten trapped in his vehicle's engine compartment and reunited it with its mother after a three-city journey, was awarded a certificate of achievement by Güroymak District Governor Mehmet Zahid Uzun for his exemplary behavior.

Teacher Gülmehmet Yavuz, who works in Güroymak, noticed meowing sounds coming from the engine compartment of his vehicle during a trip he took with his colleague Umut Karacar and a friend. The teachers stopped the vehicle and, unable to remove the kitten themselves, took the car to an auto repair shop. Through careful work there, the kitten was rescued safe and sound.
However, the teachers' sensitivity did not end there. Instead of leaving the kitten far from its home, the teachers took it with them, carrying their tiny guest in the vehicle throughout a three-city journey covering Bitlis, Siirt, and Batman. Upon their return to Tatvan, they earned praise for reuniting the kitten with its mother.
Due to this exemplary behavior, one of the heroes of the incident, teacher Umut Karacar, who works in Tatvan, had previously been awarded a certificate of achievement by Tatvan District Governor Yiğit Yaşar Demirer.
The other hero of the incident, Gülmehmet Yavuz, was also received in his office by Güroymak District Governor Mehmet Zahid Uzun. Not remaining indifferent to this exemplary behavior, District Governor Uzun thanked teacher Yavuz and presented him with a certificate of achievement.
Speaking during the presentation of the certificate, District Governor Uzun said, "We have gathered here today for an event with great significance. This behavior displayed by our teacher Gülmehmet and his friends reminded us all that teaching is not just a profession, but also a stance on life. I thank our teacher for this meaningful act, which embodies values such as love for animals, compassion, responsibility, and conscience, and I wish him continued success."
